评分沒想到哲學最後一課的閱讀材料會是這篇文章。她得過許多次雨果奬，這篇文章也就顯得不那麼稀罕瞭，我從未挑齣這篇文章單獨閱讀過。她沒有解釋那個孩子存在的原因與Omelas社會運轉方式的成因，隻是淺淡的描述瞭他所經受的痛苦與痛苦的必要性，至於這樣的痛苦為何存在，為何必須存在，似乎不是她想要描述的要點。他人對於承受苦難惠澤四方的少年做齣的反應纔是這篇文章的重點所在。個人讀不齣來這篇文章中有多深的宗教意味，背起行囊離開故鄉的人倒是讓我想起洞穴隱喻，卻又在哪裏有著微妙的不同。這篇文章可以做齣許多解讀，但有時候我覺得不必要想太多，享受一篇簡短優秀的小說，不去思索字裏行間到底有無深意，也是有趣的經曆，隻是讀得越多想得越多…太容易想齣太多隱喻，不能享受文章本身，是很無趣的事情。（作者的代錶作是地海傳奇）
