作者聲稱政治的齣發點在於“敵友之分”，然而書中多談“敵”鮮談“友”，對霍布斯的解讀大多六經注我，不及六年後的The Leviathan in the State Theory of Thomas Hobbes腳踏實地，畢竟納粹的荒誕是施密特1938年前後纔逐漸意識到的事實。
