Some good points, but many argument made just for the sake of making arguments. The most interesting part comes for how dehumanization works (you need to humanize before dehumanize). And yes I need to read more philosophy.

标题是用来博眼球的，作者反对的不是“共情”，而是过度的偏狭的短视的非理性的共情，以及把共情当成绝对的善，实际上探讨的还是比较古旧的道德考量中“情”与“理”、“心”与“脑”的关系问题。共情往往让我们只关注此时此地的部分人，忽略更大时空范围内更多数的人。在这个意义上，对一部分人“共情”即意味着对另一部分人“无情”，它有可能导致偏狭和仇恨，引发狂热的民族主义和极端的种族主义，掀起纠纷和战争。但是，在我们当今世界，主要的问题似乎还是共情不够，而非共情泛滥。把认知共情和情绪共情二元对立很成问题。
