見慣瞭從西歐角度來看待伊斯蘭和中東，本書從伊斯蘭教徒的視角來看待世界曆史，讀來很有啓發。當然，自己寫自己，總會有些傳說不便細究，不過總體來說還是盡量做到瞭公正。3個槍炮帝國那一長段太有英雄傳奇的史詩感瞭，很激動人心。
