简明实用的入门书，编年史写法很适合初学者，梳理了酷儿理论的前身及发展，也提示了历时与共时层面的复杂牵连，如果联系到晚近关于时间性的讨论来看，大概是酷儿理论自身的queer asynchronies。不过毕竟是二十年前的书，新议题可参考Routledge的读本。

海龙果读书会上备受瞩目的重口“小黄书”，内容很有意思。从起初带有病理化色彩的homesexual，到具有社群意识的gay/lesbian认同，再到颠覆传统性别性征观念、拒绝本质主义定义的queer（酷儿），作者结合性少数群体政治权利运动的历史，梳理了直至酷儿理论诞生的社会思潮发展脉络，展现出酷儿理论的独特创见，以及其“叛离”身份政治而引发的争议。

DNF。显然我只是个看热闹的外行。我是想来看queer theory的具体内容的，结果只有对理论形成历史的叙述，而"queer"也的确只是一个难以定义的涵盖术语。不能说书不好，只是和我预期不符。看到这里的人们可以无视我不具有参考性的评价了。（ETA：一段时间后重新翻开这本书，修正了我原本就不太正确的预期，意识到以前给分低了。三星改成四星。对于理清queer theory发展脉络还是很有用的一本书。（再次ETA：写论文才发现这书实在太有用了。曾经觉得它不够好完全是因为我相关知识的缺失，我悔过，有心了解queer theory的人请不要大意地捧起这本书吧。
