In Queer Theory, Annamarie Jagose provides a clear and concise explanation of queer theory, tracing it as part of an intriguing history of same-sex love over the last century.

優點在於為深度閱讀鋪展路徑，其弱點在於幾乎隻是在話語層麵進行推演，當時當下的曆史實踐與哲學思潮的交叉對話隱而不顯，特彆是到瞭80年代末，酷兒理論登颱亮相，麵對種種質疑，作者幾乎一股腦把辯詞推到酷兒的不穩定性與持續重構性上來，難以讓人信服，結果造成的印象是隻有認識論層麵的更新，而利用此認識論進行踏實的實在研究的作品依舊是猶抱琵琶半遮麵。
评分有自己的見解，也有對代錶性理論傢和運動過程的介紹，語言清晰易懂。作者特彆推崇Butler, 觀點也相近，喜歡她的人特彆適閤讀這本書。

评分DNF。顯然我隻是個看熱鬧的外行。我是想來看queer theory的具體內容的，結果隻有對理論形成曆史的敘述，而"queer"也的確隻是一個難以定義的涵蓋術語。不能說書不好，隻是和我預期不符。看到這裏的人們可以無視我不具有參考性的評價瞭。（ETA：一段時間後重新翻開這本書，修正瞭我原本就不太正確的預期，意識到以前給分低瞭。三星改成四星。對於理清queer theory發展脈絡還是很有用的一本書。（再次ETA：寫論文纔發現這書實在太有用瞭。曾經覺得它不夠好完全是因為我相關知識的缺失，我悔過，有心瞭解queer theory的人請不要大意地捧起這本書吧。
