阿倫特有著令人驚嘆的貫穿能力，人類政治思想由此呈現為一個豐富的整體；她善於指齣不同思想之間那些精妙而復雜的勾連，它們之間的承繼、過渡、轉摺抑或顛覆，都縴毫畢現。比如，她把柏拉圖和亞裏士多德的教導當作西方政治哲學傳統的開端，把馬剋思的理論定為這一傳統的終結，一下子就把我們帶進瞭一個整體的框架當中，開端和終結之間的關聯是：前者厭棄政治，後者迴歸政治。這個集子中的文章雖說是寫於不同時期，但整體性很強，所有闡釋或多或少都嚮阿倫特政治思想的核心匯聚，這個核心是由人的“有死性”、“誕生性”和“復數性”構成的，她對行動、製作、勞動和公共領域的獨特解釋也是建於其上的。（讀的是中文版）

課上讀的是Freedom那章。讓我最睏惑的是，如果她想要提供一個跟現代意義上的自由所不同的自由理論，強調自由和政治的高度相關，從而說will不等於自由，那她理解的自由是I will+I can? 那又如何跟她對於first moment的承認和強調聯係起來？

中文版的條目沒瞭藉個樓。大部分觀點令人信服，但是寫得太囉嗦瞭，不是翻譯的問題。關於權威、傳統、自由那三篇最喜歡，令人感動的金句頻現。這是我第一次讀她的書，很遺憾看晚瞭。

1. 給四星因為之前讀過The Human Condition和On Revolution. 很多觀點在另兩本書裏已經提到。 2. 第四章阿倫特對freedom的理解更像是亞裏士多德的energeia. 第三章authority一節的討論在On Revolution有更豐富的講法。阿倫特的很多內容關切authority問題，一個無法概念化進行討論的內容，想作更深入瞭解應當多讀羅馬史。 3.最後一章很好玩。挖掘《判斷力批判》的審美taste的政治哲學潛力。日後有機會再讀康德政治哲學講稿。

HANNAH ARENDT was born in Hanover, Germany, in 1906, fled to Paris in 1933, and came to the United States after the outbreak of World War II. She was the editorial director of Schocken Books from 1946 to 1948. She taught at Berkeley, Princeton, the University of Chicago, and The New School for Social Research. Among her other books are The Human Condition, On Revolution, and The Life of the Mind. She died in 1975.
