E. H. Gombrich's Little History of the World, though written in 1935, has become one of the treasures of historical writing since its first publication in English in 2005. Gombrich was of course the best-known art historian of his time, and his text suggests illustrations on every page. 评分the history of the world is ,sadly, not a pretty poem. It offers little variety, and it is nearly always the unpleasant things that are repeated, over and over。历史是什么，是人类在不断忘却历史的泥潭中重蹈覆辙。
评分非常好的一本书。原书是写给国外小朋友作为了解历史的儿童读物的，但是很适合我们学习英语用，用词不难。作者写的非常好，尤其是最后一部分，看完都感动的要落泪了。强烈推荐
