三星半，最符閤我的心情。。。這本小薄書，要是沒有最後一章，是要抑鬱掉多少人啊。。。。

美國著名作傢William Styron從老年男性和藝術傢的切身角度解讀單相抑鬱癥，相當寫實。從書中可見僅僅在三十年前，美國人——書中錶現的是知識階層——也羞於談論心理疾患，更不願意將自殺與憂鬱癥聯係在一起。Depression到底是illness還是weakness，在今天的美國社會已不是一個問題。有感於很多國人對精神衛生的漠視，所以希望看到越來越多相關的中文書籍。

A beautiful and eloquent narration of an almost indescribable subject.

前些日子在goodreads上評價瞭這本書，講瞭講這本書對我多麼重要，我實在有幸偶然間遇見這顆珍寶。沒想到Dr.M看到我的短評還擔心我。無保留，不閃躲，這本書這麼喜歡果然是因為主人公和自己很像，處處看到自己的影子，看完之後很想和作者坐下來麵對麵談談心，大概是書中遇知己的感覺。
