A book of advocacy! I understand how the authors feel driven by the global cause of feminist emancipation and equal rights, however, I am appalled by their patronizing tone. What's more, why on earth Americans are so much motivated by third-world life? I agree that great nations are supposed to do something that matches its reputation. Just curious

如果你是一個SRHR（性與生殖健康）的門外漢，一定會被書中每個故事所打動。雖然作為同是發展中國傢的天朝子民，可能你會被煽動起“我得做些什麼”的想法。其實，1、在我朝老少邊窮地區，和大城市中規模龐大的“打工妹”群體中，SRHR問題同樣嚴重，隻是你沒有意識到而已。2、全書中至始至終貫徹著“隻有我們能救她們”的這種西方上帝視角，讓我背後發涼。雖然不能否認，的確有很多西方仁人誌士為發展中國傢的女性做瞭一些事情，但這種援助機製遠比我們想象得復雜，值得我們深思。 不過，這仍然是本好書，推薦。

About the suffering of women in the world...

This book gets people to know more about the lives and the “unimaginable issues”of women in “the rest of the world”. The authors gives proper reflections and lots of explicit methods that change people’s lives. It’s inspirational and also cautionary for me,who always just think theoretically. A lot of contents are missing in the Chinese version.
