其實我覺得挺好看的，全麵，客觀，又不乏人文情懷和娛樂性。比較少(但精確)的分析和較多的敘述，我覺得是入門級讀物比較好的範本。當然，如果我不用一天讀完還要寫一篇論文的話，我會更享受的。

Elliott），哈佛大學東亞語言與文明係講座教授、哈佛大學曆史與東亞語言博士委員會主席，主要研究領域為清史、內陸亞洲史，是北美漢學界“新清史”研究的重要學者。著有《滿洲之路：八旗製度與清代的民族認同》（The Manchu Way: The Eight Banners and Ethnic Identity in Late Imperial China, 2001）、閤編《新清帝國史：清朝在承德建立的內陸亞洲帝國》（New Qing Imperial History: The Making of Inner Asian Empire at Qing Chengde, 2004）、《鑲紅旗檔案：清代八旗研究指南及東洋文庫所藏史料目錄》（The Archives of the Bordered Red Banner: Research Guide to the Qing Eight Banners and Catalogue of Materials in the Toyo Bunko, 2001）等。

书是本好书，只是怀疑出版社是否吃了印刷厂回扣，里面的插图印得模糊一团，比80年代的出版物还不如。封面做得太庸俗了，可能是出版社为迎合读者走销量。翻译上一点问题：只看了下萨满教那部分，不知道原书的哪个单词，被分别翻译成了“明礼”、“暗礼”？根据上下文，似乎...
