比普魯斯特更James Salter, 比James Salter更候麥——新小說也是薩莉魯尼簽名風格最激烈的一次迸發，某些瞬間還隱約閃爍著王傢衛式的迷離與喜感。不想劇透，但對這足夠奧斯汀混搭woody allen風味的結局還挺滿意——在如此不確定的世界裏，讀者或許也都會渴求這樣一枚收尾

A 絕對是 SR 本人，而能看齣她戲裏戲外反而（含蓄地）更偏愛藍領 F (要是在美國，妥妥的綉帶MAGA boy)。每隔一章用 email 來自我剖析一番，實在是偷懶的做派。結尾更讓我 like wtf did i just read? 要麼就彆寫 pandemic, 一筆帶過可真是浪費。看到緻謝部分感謝丈夫，突然就都 make 瞭一點兒 sense. 希望 SR 盡早跳齣自己的舒適圈吧（或者接著寫 Normal People 那種甚至續寫，其實也不錯...）

第一世界國傢年輕人漫長的青春期真是讓人又羨慕又忍不住要翻白眼。

上次這麼激動地趕首發還是HP齣最後一本=w=跟SR兩本前作還蠻不同的，除瞭酸甜的戀愛橋段（which她真的很擅長！），還有大量對社會議題/意識形態的討論，可能無論作為作者還是書中人物，人到late 20s思考的東西確實會變。在寫作手法上也有顯著區彆：有很多對場景的上帝視角描寫，甚至讓很多段落幾乎成瞭劇本，能明顯感到有一個鏡頭存在。很喜歡書中關於青銅時代的片段：青銅時代的文明齣於今天不知道的原因崩潰瞭，但隻是社會精英的生活方式消失瞭，而目不識丁、掙紮於溫飽的平民的生活卻仍在繼續——從這個意義上講，若生活的核心消失，今日的我也隻是迷你青銅文明而已。書裏數次提到HJ也令我驚喜，很開心自己跟SR的閱讀趣味有重疊❤對瞭這應該是SR第一本明確的happing ending？順便在緻謝裏SR說自己結婚瞭！

這就是傳說中的青春疼痛文學嗎？except these ppl are old… a bunch of 30 yr olds 無痛呻吟。我也不懂為啥sally rooney的女主都要執著扶貧。Alice is a toxic friend. anyways 感謝bbc的免費radio讓我沒買這本書

Sally Rooney is the author of the novels Conversations with Friends and Normal People. Her writing has appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, the London Review of Books and elsewhere. Conversations with Friends was shortlisted for both the Dylan Thomas Prize and the Rathbones Folio Prize, and longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize. Rooney was also shortlisted for the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award for 'Mr Salary' and was the winner of the Sunday Times/PFD Young Writer of the Year Award. Normal People was the Waterstones Book of the Year 2019 and won the Costa Novel of the Year in 2018. It was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2018, as well as the Women's Prize for Fiction and the Rathbones Folio Prize in 2019. Sally Rooney co-wrote the television adaptation of Normal People which was broadcast on the BBC in 2020, and for which she was nominated for an Emmy award.
