評分這本書比《Shaders for Game Programmers and Artists》成書要早,有些內容沒有後者豐富,但是每章最後的further reading提供瞭參考資料,可以供有興趣的讀者進一步學習。第九章關於shadow map的敘述,采用projective texture作為鋪墊,比《Shaders for Game Programmers and Artists》更好的描述瞭對shadow map采樣的原理
